Agora Lledó International School, as part of the Agora International School family of schools, is one of the 7 private and international schools which belong to the prestigious Globeducate group and which has achieved educational excellence throughout its 50 years of experience with schools in Spain ( Cataluña, the Balearic Islands, Madrid, Andalucía and the Valencian Community) and Andorra. With an educational programme from Nursery to Baccalaureate, at Agora Lledó International School we aim to provide our pupils with an all-round education, through activities which stimulate and motivate them in their learning.
Agora Lledó International School has more than 6,700 m2 of facilities which help all pupils to feel part of a community with a positive and creative atmosphere.
The Agora Lledó International School Campus
Agora Lledó International School is located in some wonderful natural surroundings full of orange groves and 200 metres from the neoclassical Lledó Basilica. Our wide open spaces are one of the keys to our educational project, which gives importance to learning through living.
In addition, the school is an official music conservatory as well as a sports centre with facilities that adapt to every sporting need, such as a semi-olympic swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, two outdoor artificial turf football pitches and one indoor pitch. Thanks to these facilities Agora Lledó International School excels in sports and takes part in gymnastics, swimming and football competitions on a national level.
We have been accredited to teach the International Baccalaureate with the DP (Diploma Programme) since 2011 and, more recently, in 2022, we were accredited to teach the PYP (Primary Years Programme).
In addition to the above, we offer a language immersion programme with a wide range of foreign languages, as well as comprehensive art, music and sports programmes for a well-rounded education. The aim of the school is to awaken in students the desire to discover the world and to help them achieve academic and personal success.
Families, Pupils, Teachers and Alumni
At Agora Lledó International School, we believe that success comes from the effective collaboration among staff, families and students. That’s why at our international school families and teachers are always in contact, to ensure the very best for our pupils. We promote an open dialogue, taking into account the needs of the pupils’ families. We make sure to keep them informed in detail about our teaching and learning methodology as well as the decisions which could affect the pupils’ academic and personal progress.
At our school we help families to find the balance between school and home. One of the services offered at our international school is the possibility to lengthen or shorten the school day, according to the needs of our families. They can also take advantage of our transport service, which collects the pupils in the morning and drops them off again in the evening. Our rigorous methods and organisation guarantee the safety and well-being of all the students who use this service.
Our families are involved in all the different stages of education. This communication between school and family life supports the success of pupils at Agora Lledó.
Pupils are at the heart of Agora Lledó International School. We help them to reach their maximum potential by supporting them in their academic and personal development so they are successful in the future:
- We take pupils’ individuality into account, along with their own learning paces and styles. Those who show some type of difficulty receive personalised attention through support programmes, so that they feel motivated, develop a sense of self-improvement and set out on a path to success.
- The pupils at our international school participate in extracurricular activities.
- The syllabus includes sport, music and art, traditionally considered as optional subjects. This offers pupils the chance to try new experiences and develop an alternative form of self-expression.
- Through the international atmosphere and multilingualism at our school, pupils become fluent in foreign languages and develop values such as respect and tolerance towards other cultures as well as a creative way of seeing the world.
- Throughout all the stages of their education, pupils learn to think creatively and independently thanks to the use of new technologies as an alternative way to analyse information.
- Thanks to the chances they have of participating in group activities, our pupils understand that they are part of a wider community and learn the responsibility that this entails.
To sum up, starting in the early stages of their school life, we prepare every student to have a successful life in a globalised world.
As part of the family, at the school we work with selected teachers who are responsible for transmitting their enthusiasm and passion. Each pupil is an individual and unique being, which is why we offer personalised attention with support programmes that promote motivation, stimulation and self-improvement. We make each pupil the protagonist in this complex process of development.
English is the school's flagship language and for this reason most subjects are taught in English. Teachers teach entirely in English and ensure that pupils also communicate with each other in English. In order to provide the best possible language teaching, we employ teachers who are native English speakers or bilingual, or who have spent long periods of time in English-speaking countries.
Agora Lledó International School's former pupils are part of our community, our pride, as they are a clear example of the progress and achievements obtained after years of hard work, effort and dedication. We are proud to see that their comprehensive preparation has successfully guided them towards their professional and academic future and, above all, that they have grown as people with values such as respect, effort and companionship.
