The history of the school
Agora Lledó International School is a private multilingual school in Castellon which is well-known for its excellence in education, its personal development and personalised teaching for each student. In 2006 it became part of the prestigious Globeducate Educational Group. It was the first school in Castellon to incorporate the International Baccalaureate Programme in the school curriculum. It is also an Official Music Conservatory and has a Sports Centre.
Our Educational Project
IB: A model of the future
Agora Lledó International School was the first school in Castellon to be authorised to teach the IB Diploma Programme (DP) by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and the first to have the Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the province. These programmes are a future model for the development in student competences which are essential to academic, professional and personal success and favouring these goals to be reached with an international context.
Multilingualism
Preparing our students for an international future without limits or barriers. We offer a multilingual educational project with more linguistic immersion than English, which allows the student to dominate the official language of their place of residence together with English, French, German or Chinese. Furthermore, our students can obtain official qualifications such as those from Trinity College London, the University of Cambridge, the Alliance Français, the Goethe Institute (German) or the Confucius Institute (Chinese).
STEAM: Science and Arts
Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) competencies are key to the integral development of children: they provide enormous cognitive and personal benefits, in addition to enhancing their communication skills. Agora Lledó is an Official Music Conservatory, which allows students to obtain a qualification in the Elemental Degree in Music and continue with their studies to obtain the Professional Degree in Music. The creative and scenic arts also have a great importance in the students’ training, promoting their intellectual capacities.
Sports and Well-being
Sport is an important part of our study plan, infusing healthy habits in our students and promoting values such as perseverance, teamwork and self-improvement. The school has a sports centre with 6,700 metres of installations for an indoor semi-olympic swimming pool, a sports hall, 2 football fields with artificial grass and different outdoor fields amongst other things. This training complements the sporting events organised by the school and by the Globeducate Group over the academic year.
Shaping the World
The children who enrol in education today would graduate as young adults in 2030. We must prepare them for work and technologies which do not exist at present to resolve problems that have not been foreseen. We encourage our students to take hold of and shape their own futures: we want them to be global citizens who can shape the world.
