Distinctive elements of our educational project

Our teachers’ vocation to study is one of the cornerstones of our educational project and is instilled in our pupils through the teachers' attitude and behaviour, as they are not only academic guides, but also a reference point for the pupils regarding their personal development and their value-based education. This is why we place great importance on the training of our teaching staff, making sure they keep up-to-date with the latest educational techniques. This is an effort made by our entire teaching community, which optimises the resources and deals with the specific needs and capabilities of each pupil in order to help them to be successful when facing the challenges they will encounter in their future academic and professional lives.

At Globeducate we believe that our teachers should be part of an on-going process of learning and this is why our entire educational community takes part in regular training days and workshops. These aim to strengthen their knowledge and skills in fields such as Emotional Intelligence, New Technologies and Assertiveness. For example, the whole teaching staff of Agora Lledó International School recently took part in a workshop entitled “Impact on Learning”, whose objective was to provide teachers with tools so that they have a greater impact on student learning.

Learning Coaches

As part of Globeducate commitment to educational excellence, the cornerstone of our educational project, in 2017 the Globeducate Learning Coaches scheme was launched in all of the group's schools. Through this scheme, representatives of the teachers from each of the Globeducate schools have been trained as Coaches to help and support their colleagues in their pursuit of excellence in their work. 

Our teachers' vocation and passion for teaching is complemented by the constant improvement in their techniques and the on-going progress in their teaching abilities meaning that our teaching staff never cease to learn.

In order to improve every school and ensure educational excellence, Globeducate has implemented a quality framework we call The Globeducate Platinum Standard. The aim of the Platinum Standard is to help the Globeducate schools evaluate the quality of the teaching they offer. Its principles are backed by some of the best practices used in educational systems worldwide, and the mission and values of Globeducate.

It is based on the use of quality indicators that help the Globeducate community to:

• Measure the standards and quality of each school and of our group.
• Recognize the key strengths of each school and of our group.
• Identify the areas where it is necessary to maintain a high standard or where improvements are needed.
• Identify the priorities and create a plan for improvement.

To determine the quality of a Globeducate and identify those areas where improvements are needed, five core areas are evaluated in each school:

1. Effectiveness of Leadership and Management.
2. Quality of Learning.
3. The Globeducate Mission and Value Proposition.

All this requires constant training for the teachers in order to improve the quality of their teaching and help them be more effective, along with high expectations for all the pupils, the use of questions to stimulate reflection, involvement and participation. There are also feedback 360º mechanisms to help with the communication between the teachers and students or among the students themselves.

All in all, Globeducate Platinum Standard is a tool that evaluates the educational level and quality of each school within the group to help them improve, finding optimum strategies for improvement in all areas.
