Agora Lledó International School has officially added a new accolade to its educational offerings. After more than 10 years of delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and receiving authorization in 2022 to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the school has now achieved a significant milestone: official and definitive authorization to teach the Middle Years Programme (MYP). This rigorous academic framework helps students aged 11 to 16 make practical connections between their studies and the real world.
This development further strengthens Agora Lledó leadership in education, making it the first school in Castellón and the second in the Valencian Community to offer the complete IB continuum across its three academic stages. This comprehensive educational approach is rooted in international-mindedness, real-world contexts, and focuses on inquiry and critical reflection. The goal is to nurture students who are committed to their future and the world around them. As an IB World School, Agora Lledó, with its new MYP authorization, joins an elite group of only 50 schools in Spain that implement the IB system continuously and comprehensively from ages 6 to 18.
Following three years of rigorous efforts to enhance MYP implementation, the International Baccalaureate organization has recognized and formalized the school's authorization process for this prestigious international education system for secondary education. The school’s evaluation process confirmed the correct use of all MYP elements, such as conceptual learning, the development of various student learning skills, and the cultivation of IB learner profile attributes, among other essential aspects required to certify Lledó as an official MYP IB school.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) is an educational system where students take the initiative to assume responsibility for their own learning. They learn through inquiry and reflection on their learning processes, which adequately prepares them for the two years of the Diploma Programme (DP).
