CICAE Benchmarking and Education Meeting

Agora Lledó International School (Castellón) brilliantly hosted the CICAE Benchmarking and Education Meeting, which celebrated its 16th edition. For three days, this event brought together managers and teachers from 33 of the best private schools from all over Spain, including Globeducate centres which actively participated such as Agora Madrid, Agora Sant Cugat and Agora Portals, as well as the host, Agora Lledó International School. It was also attended by the schools Granada College, Agora Barcelona International School and Agora Andorra International School.

More than one hundred professionals from the field of education had the opportunity to learn first-hand from the observation of practical work in the classroom, the educational project in its three academic stages at Agora Lledó, a school which has stood out for years for its excellent academic results in the International Baccalaureate, which has made it a benchmark at a national level, as it has been ranked for several years in the places of honour at a national level among one of the leading schools in Europe.

During the CICAE Benchmarking and Education Meeting, the members of the different schools, divided into working groups, also participated in an agenda that multiplied in a series of practical workshops, presentations and spaces for discussions on the Primary School Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). The talks, given by members of the participating schools themselves, focused on issues of special interest such as the difficulties of inquiring from concepts in the PYP, the complexity of the challenge of implementing the MYP or how to implement the methodology of the Diploma Programme in the classroom, among other meetings and round tables that were very well received by the participants.

Through these conferences, on this occasion organised by Agora Lledó International School, important questions about the implementation and approaches to teaching and learning of the different IB programmes were dealt with and debated, so that the teachers and directors of the different private schools which took part in them could obtain more tools and differentiating and improving elements in their educational proposals.
