Official UN recognition

Agora Lledó’s Head of School, Mr Luis Madrid, has recently been appointed as Treasurer Officer for the prestigious International Schools Association (ISA), an organisation founded in 1951 and based in Geneva. The organisation holds consultative status with UNESCO, which means that in April of this year Luis Madrid will be awarded his Official United Nations Accreditation Pass; this will provide access to meetings, conferences and events at the United Nations, and enable him to discuss and participate in the decision-making processes for matters concerning global education.

At the same time as Luis Madrid is receiving his accreditation at the New York headquarters, he will obtain his International Pass, allowing him to participate in sessions held at the UN’s headquarters in Geneva and Vienna, and confirming his position as an international educational consultant and facilitator. Luis Madrid will represent the interests of the International Schools Association (ISA) and of our own parent company, Globeducate, promoting international education in line with the UN Charter and the Declaration of Human Rights.

This level of international recognition helps to confirm the status of Luis Madrid and Agora Lledó as a benchmark for quality and integrity in international educational, and ensures that the region of Castellon is recognised by the most prestigious educational institutions and forums in the world. ISA representatives at the United Nations have participated in UNESCO events and meetings for seven decades and now, once again, a Spanish representative will have a voice at the highest level of international education.
