Pedro Segarra Ferrer: Talent, Effort and Humility in Computer Science

At Agora Lledó International School, we are immensely proud to share the achievements of Pedro Segarra, a 1st year Science Baccalaureate student, who has excelled brilliantly in two of the most important computer science competitions at both national and international level. A true example of effort, talent and humility that goes far beyond trophies and medals.

Bronze Medal at the Ibero-American Olympiad in Informatics 2024

On 5th April, Pedro was awarded the bronze medal and an official diploma at the Ibero-American Olympiad in Informatics 2024, an international online competition organised from Peru, which brings together the best young programmers from Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

Taking part in such a prestigious event is already a huge achievement, but earning a place on the podium and representing Spain and our school at this level is a true source of pride. This competition is one of the most demanding for pre-university students with a talent for programming and algorithms, and Pedro has proved himself among the very best. A truly outstanding international accomplishment!

National Finalist in the Spanish Olympiad in Informatics 2025

But that was not all. Between 3rd and 6th April, Pedro also competed in the Spanish Olympiad in Informatics 2025, held in A Coruña, where he received a diploma as a national finalist, securing an impressive 14th position among the most outstanding young computer science talents in the country.

This result places Pedro among the most promising computing students at national level, opening doors to future competitions, scholarships, and innovation projects.
